Amazon and the Sunday Lunch Crowd

Warning: rant ahead.

One of the unexpected perks of living in Lubbock is that we have an Amazon “store” - an Amazon location where we send our Amazon purchases to wait in a safe location until we come pick them up. No more worries of porch pirates!

However, the Amazon is in a little strip of shops and restaurants with a TINY parking lot. I had planned to pick up my package today after our movie let out, which coincidentally let out around the time most churches let out. (We don’t call our Sunday movie group Movie Church for nothing.) Between Torchy’s on the east end and Tikka Shack on the west, those hungry churchgoers took up EVERY parking spot, even the three in front of Amazon!!!! It’s only three spots. They could have left us those three spots.

Surely there’s a Bible verse about not blocking your fellow man from receiving their worldly goods or something.

Now I have to go back to try again after work tomorrow. I’m hoping all those restaurant patrons are all at Chick-fil-A since it won’t be Sunday and they can eat God’s chicken again. Wish me luck.
